Dead Island 2 Introduces Dani in New Trailer

Dead Island 2 trailer introduces us to Dani, a rough and tough chick with a thirst for violence, interesting skills, and one bad-to-the-bone personality to boot.

We first learned about Dead Island 2’s development back in 2014, but due to some issues and juggling the game between different studios, it almost completely fell off of the radar. At one point, gamers even believed the game was canceled since it seemingly fell off the face of the planet. During the 2022 Game Awards, the gore-filled and blood-soaked RPG made an appearance once again and actually had a release date for the first time in eight years.

Today, we get a look at one of the Slayers that will be available in-game; Dani. She is described as a “rockabilly brawler” who has a killer mean streak. Not only that, she comes with two Innate Abilities that could be pretty nifty. One is her Bloodlust ability which allows her to regenerate health while slaying multiple zombies at once. The other is her Thunderstruck ability which creates a massive explosion when players use her heavy attacks during combat.

You’ll have to go watch the trailer on YouTube because of its violent nature, which prevents embedding.

Aside from Dani, we already knew about a couple of other Slayers to embody. One, of course, is Jacob who is known as the misunderstood bad boy who quotes Shakespearian poems as he demolishes the faces of zombies. Another would be Amy, a slick and calm chick that is all about fitness and mayhem, and lastly, we learned of Ryan. Ryan is not only terrifying when it comes to slaying foes, but he’s terrifyingly handsome. Once an exotic dancer, he is now a zombie-killing machine on a journey to save his little brother who was left behind in Fresno when the apocalypse began.

There is also one mystery Slayer that has yet to be revealed, but at the time of writing, there is no information available as to when that character will make their appearance.
