Wartales Roadmap For 2023 Promises Fast Travel And More
A new Wartales roadmap has been revealed by Shiro Games, showcasing what’s coming to the mercenary RPG in the next few months. A full release for the game is planned for sometime in the second quarter of 2023, but before then, you’re getting fast travel, a new Paths system, and plenty more.
Shiro breaks down what’s coming to Wartales in a new Steam post. The developer says the upcoming Community Update is “just around the corner”; it’s set to arrive in February, although we don’t have an exact date for it yet. That update will bring the ability to fast travel between regions, as well as a trading post to build, upgrades to camp tools, and more.
After the February Community Update, Shiro looks ahead to the Release Update, which will bring the final improvements to the game along with its 1.0 release. These improvements include the brand new Alazar region, an increase to the level cap, and new champions and arenas to get to grips with, as well as new battle maps. In short, it looks like there’s plenty to look forward to this year if you’re a Wartales fan.
Wartales is an open-world RPG in which you control a band of mercenaries as they seek fame and fortune in a dark medieval fantasy world. As you explore, you’ll take on bandits, wild animals, and other enemies in tactical turn-based strategy combat, and you’ll build your team too, outfitting them with new equipment and taking them down specialization paths that will change their approach to combat.
Since Wartales launched in Early Access back in December 2021, it’s received a plethora of updates, including a brand new city to explore and the addition of co-op gameplay. If you’re a fan of medieval RPGs and turn-based combat (or either one of those), then Wartales is definitely for you.
You can check out Wartales right now on PC via Steam Early Access, where it’ll set you back $34.99. The game is due for a full release sometime in the second quarter of this year. Stay tuned to TechRaptor for more info about that release and all things Wartales.
