Halo Infinite Season 3 Launches March 7; Promises the “Biggest Multiplayer Update” for the Game
343 Industries and Microsoft announced the launch date of Halo Infinite‘s Season 3, titled “Echoes Within.”
The season will release on March 7, and it promises “the biggest multiplayer update” for the game. This includes a new 100-tier Battle Pass, three new maps, a new mode, a new weapon, a new equipment item, and cosmetics aplenty.
The announcement was accompanied by a trailer, which you can watch below.
The trailer provides a deeper look at the content of the update, including the new BTB map named “Oasis,” the new Arena maps “Cliffhanger” and “Chasm,” the Shroud Screen gear, the M392 Bandit rifle, and the new Escalation Slayer mode.
We also take a look at the community playlist including Starboard, Perilous, Salvation, and the super-creative Art’s Room.
Halo Infinite is currently available for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC, including Game Pass.
Recently, 343 Industries has publicly committed to continuing its work on the Halo series following the departure of former studio head Bonnie Ross after 15 years at the helm, and after having reportedly been hit by layoffs during a sweeping round of redundancies that resulted in the termination of approximately 10,000 positions at Microsoft.
It’ll be interesting to see whether Season 3 will revitalize the game’s multiplayer community when it launches on all of the game’s platforms on March 7.
