Fate/Samurai Remnant Gets Release Date & New Trailer Showing Familiar Characters in Action
Today Koei Tecmo shared a new reveal about the upcoming Fate game Fate/Samurai Remnant, breaking the silence that followed the game’s reveal in January.
We learn that this action JRPG will release on September 28, 2023, for PS5, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch. For now, the release date has been announced only for Japan, but Koei Tecmo has become rather proficient in localizing its games quickly. We’ll have to wait and see if the announcement for North America and Europe comes in short order.
For now, we get to see a new trailer portraying several popular characters from the Fate franchise which will likely prove familiar to the series’ fans. The trailer also showcases gameplay, which never hurts.
At the end, we get to see a couple of rather expensive limited editions, including one with a Miyamoto Musashi figure. Early purchases (by October 11) will also get a DLC costume for Miyamoto Musashi herself.
Update: apparently the video, uploaded by PlayStation Japan, was leaked ahead of time. You can find a copy below (courtesy of Twitter user Kars) until an official version is reuploaded.

If you’d like to see more about the game, which is developed by Koei Tecmo’s own Omega Force studio (known for the Warriors/Musou franchise and recently for Wild Hearts, released under Electronic Arts’ umbrella) you can check out the original reveal trailer from a few months ago.
If you’re unfamiliar with the Fate series, it debuted in 2004 with the adult-oriented visual novel titled Fate/stay night. Like many popular franchises that started as eroge, it has since relinquished its adult nature (albeit it retained plenty of fanservice) becoming a massive multimedia IP including anime, manga, and more, culminating with the ultra-popular Fate/Grand Order mobile game.
